Late documentation
I haven't used the "devlog" at all, really. I've thought about several times, but ultimately came to the conclusion that my entries would be so awkward and meandering that it would detract from the overall experience of the game.
However, I've realized that I shouldn't take myself so seriously and that it might be nice to document my game development journey.
I started developing City Escape on February 26th, 2023. It was just meant to be a simple game where you could talk to three people, solve their problems, and leave the city. Of course, as I became more confident in my scripting abilities, the feature creep began to take control of the project.
I'd say that I'm about halfway done.
I recently added a dojo to the game. I'd like to incorporate some kind of musical minigame that you have to play so that you can learn how to be sneaky. Your sneakiness will later be used to sneak past the huge performance-enhanced hulk guarding the entrance of the American building (in order to complete the Thief's quest, of course).
City Escape
Can you escape from the city?
